My work is made using the technique of automatism, popularized by the surrealists, which is a mark making technique without any preconceived idea or goal for representation. These random marks suggest forms that are developed through paint and additive and subtractive materials collaged on or cut away from the supports.

The support and collage material is often made from repurposed material such as packaging cardboard and plastic bags. Holes cut through the supports and then shaped is done within the flow of the automatic gestures and is about an interaction with the space the work hangs in.
