Most of my subject matter is based on the natural world. I prefer depicting animals, scenery, and plants. I also like to add a bit of whimsy to my works, either by materials used, or content. When painting animals, I usually combine species. I create birds with shapes and colors that are familiar, but do not truly occur in nature. I also enjoy using natural mediums, such as pressed flowers and leaves.
