I began my journey as an artist as a traditional painter, but fell in love with mixed media and mosaics early in my career. Painting taught me the joy of color and movement, and through mosaics I became fascinated with the intimate and intriguing relationships between fractured spaces, patterns and disparate materials. My passions are color and texture, and I am always searching for new media and experimenting with new ways to use them. These pieces from my DREAM Series consist of layers of paint, paper and ephemera. As I work fleeting images appear that seem to tell their own stories, perhaps remembered from dreams that were previously forgotten.
