In my multi-media collage work, I use papers in a variety of textures and colors, colored pencils, ink, watercolor and acrylic paints - anything that creates different visual layers in the space of a work. I also like to use the extra paper pieces left over from creating monoprints, cyanotype prints, and found paper like maps to add dimension as well. Recently I am using cyanotypes as the base for some of the pieces. The texture and depth add an interesting background that influences the rest of the work. My work uses vibrant color palettes and layers to build unique pieces.

Through this creative process, I try to discover the unexpected and emotional connections, eventual revealing an image or a reflection of a feeling. When I feel my artwork has finished it’s journey, I look forward to starting a new piece.
