This work is a reflection of my journey with trauma, resilience, and the often-unseen complexities of womanhood. Skin Deep invites the viewer to reconsider what is hidden beneath the surface, urging a deeper understanding of the emotional and physical toll of living in a world that expects women to be strong, silent, and always ""fine."" Using photo montages that combine self-portraits, florals, and scans of my MRIs and x-rays, I aim to reconcile the contrast between what is shown and what is felt.
